Recently Warrenton Pediatrics has expanded into our second location, Linton Hall Pediatrics! This means you might be seeing some new faces around our offices and online. Ashley Jeniec and Sooky Emmanuel-Frank are our new Nurse Practitioners. You can read all about them on our About Us page; they are excited to bring their pediatrics experience to you and your family.
You might be wondering, what does a Nurse Practitioner do exactly? And we are here with the answers!
A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is a key part of the pediatric healthcare team. They specialize in providing care to patients from birth to young adulthood. PNP’s focus on primary care, preventative medicine and health wellness, growth and development, and managing acute and chronic illnesses. Importantly, Nurse Practitioners are medical practitioners with nurse experience and training. This means that they bring in the essential elements of patient education and holistic care to your family in our practices.
Our Pediatric Nurse Practitioners function as a primary liaison between our patients, their families, our pediatricians, and specialists. They provide wellness and developmental checks, vaccinations, and patient and family education.
Ashley and Sooky can’t wait to use their pediatric, newborn, and neonatal expertise to make your experience at our practice great.
